Four ways to work with Stet.

From a single high-signal piece to embedded editorial leadership. Pick the level that matches the moment.

Every engagement starts the same way: a 30-minute call, no pitch deck. We talk about what you're trying to say, where it needs to land, and whether we're the right fit. If yes, you get a short proposal within 48 hours and we're underway the following week.

Tier 1 • Project

The Signal Piece

2-week turnaround

One piece of writing that sounds exactly like you. Published under your name. Built to anchor a moment.

Some pieces have to carry weight. A relaunch announcement. An article submission. The essay your industry needs to read. The Signal Piece is built for those moments — a single long-form draft, up to 1,800 words, that reads like the truest version of how you'd say it if you had the time.

What’s Included

•   60-minute voice intake and positioning conversation

•   One long-form piece — op-ed, essay, keynote draft, LinkedIn flagship, or Substack feature — up to 1,800 words

•   Two revision rounds

•   Editorial polish against your voice-and-tone standard

•   Optional: social pull-quotes and newsletter teaser copy

Best For

Founders and executives who need a single high-signal piece that punches above its weight. Also a low-commitment way to feel out working together before you commit to a retainer.

Tier 2 • Ongoing Most Popular

The Voice Retainer

3-month minimum

Your public voice, fully handled — so you can keep leading while your presence compounds.

Most leaders know their voice matters. Almost none have time to sustain it. The Voice Retainer makes us the trusted keeper of how you sound across LinkedIn, your newsletter, board letters, internal comms, and the long essays you keep meaning to write. You stay focused on the work. The output keeps showing up.

What’s Included

•   4 pieces of long-form or mid-form writing per month, mixed across whichever channels matter most to you

•   Monthly editorial strategy call — what to say, when, and why

•   Always-on Slack and email access for quick voice checks and real-time language support

•   Quarterly narrative review — what's working, what's shifting, what to double down on

•   Editorial calendar owned end-to-end

Best For

Founders, executives, authors, and public-voice leaders who know their presence matters but can't sustain the editorial output themselves. Replaces a part-time comms hire at a fraction of the cost.

Tier 3 • Project

The Keynote

3-week turnaround

A talk that sounds like you, lands like a story, and travels past the room.

Most keynotes get built from the outside in — slides first, then a script reverse-engineered to fit. The Keynote works the other way around. We start with what you actually want to say, build an arc that earns it, and shape every transition so the room follows you instead of just listening to you.

What’s Included

•   90-minute discovery interview — your ideas, the audience, the outcome

•   Story and structural scaffolding — the arc, the turns, the payoff

•   Full keynote draft, written for 20 to 45 minutes of stage time

•   Two revision rounds plus one rehearsal listen-through with notes

•   Optional add-on: a follow-up op-ed or LinkedIn distillation built from the talk ($1,500)

Best For

Speakers, conference keynoters, and founders preparing for high-stakes moments — investor day, board presentations, industry keynotes, commencement, TED-style talks.

Tier 4 • Embedded

Fractional Chief of Voice

6-month minimum

Embedded editorial leadership for a founder or small executive team. The role you need but can't justify hiring full-time yet.

At a certain stage, voice stops being a side concern. The website needs to sound like the founder. The investor updates need to land. The internal memos need to carry weight. The product copy needs to match the keynote needs to match the LinkedIn post. That's the role we step into — embedded, strategic, and accountable for the voice across the whole organization.

What’s Included

•   Everything in the Voice Retainer, plus:

•   Strategic editorial direction across the organization — website, product, press, investor, internal

•   Messaging architecture and a voice-and-tone system your team can use

•   Coaching and feedback for in-house marketers, EAs, and comms staff

•   Up to 2 additional long-form pieces per month

•   Monthly leadership team strategy call

Best For

Seed-to-Series-B founders, small executive teams, and mission-driven nonprofits that need senior editorial leadership now — not six months from now.

How to Choose

If you're not sure where you fit, this is the quick version:

  • One moment that needs to land. Signal Piece.

  • Steady output, ongoing presence. Voice Retainer.

  • A talk that has to travel. Keynote.

  • Editorial leadership across the whole organization. Chief of Voice.

Still not sure? Start with a discovery call. We'll figure it out together — and if none of these are right, we'll tell you that, too.

Questions Worth Answering

  • Yes. That's the whole point. Every engagement starts with a deep voice intake and a written voice document we both work from. No piece ships until it reads as something you'd say.

  • Yes — daily, fluently, and as a force multiplier. AI helps us triple output without diluting voice. But every word that goes out under your name is shaped by judgment, not generated by it. The craft is ours. The voice is yours. The tools just make the math work.

  • Most engagements begin the week after our discovery call. Signal Pieces ship in two weeks. Retainers start within seven to ten days of contract.

  • Always, before we ever discuss specifics.

  • Retainers have a clean 30-day off-ramp after the minimum commitment. Project work has built-in revision rounds. If a piece isn't landing, we name it early and either course-correct or part well.

  • Under the big sky in Montana. Most clients are remote — calls, Slack, async drafts.

  • Yes — selectively. We take on one full book ghostwrite per year, plus occasional Book Architecture engagements (proposal, outline, sample chapters) for authors at the agent stage. If a book is what you're carrying, tell us about it on a call. We'll be honest about whether we're the right hands for it.
